Cancellation and refunds

Last updated 21 September 2026

Cancelling is free while we are still looking for a provider, and free if you cancel more than a day before a scheduled booking. A charge applies once a provider has committed their time, and it rises as they get closer to your door.

Why there is a charge at all

When a provider accepts your booking, they turn down other work and often set off straight away. If you cancel after that, most of the charge goes to them to cover the time and travel they have already given up.

Booking for now

For bookings needed within two hours, a provider is sent the moment you book.

When you cancelCharge
Before a provider acceptsFree
After a provider accepts10% of the booking, at least ₹40, at most ₹150
While the provider is travelling to you25%, at least ₹75, at most ₹400
After the provider has arrived50%, at least ₹150

Booking for later

How long before the booking you cancelCharge
Before a provider accepts, at any timeFree
More than 24 hoursFree
Between 2 and 24 hours10% of the booking
Less than 2 hours30%, at least ₹75
While the provider is travelling to you25%, at least ₹75, at most ₹400
After the provider has arrived50%, at least ₹150

The app always shows the exact charge before you confirm a cancellation, so you never find out afterwards.

If the provider cancels

You pay nothing. You can book again straight away, and the app will look for a different provider.

If nobody is available

If no provider accepts within the search time, the booking closes automatically and nothing is charged.

If you are unhappy with the work

Tell us within 48 hours of the job being marked complete, through the app or at help@sarvafm.in, with your booking reference. We will look at what happened and may arrange for the work to be redone or refund part or all of the amount. Payment to the provider is held while we look into it.
